Shawn leads in all things strata. He’s well known and widely respected for his expertise in strata property and real estate law and has more than 15 years of experience working with strata corporations, developers, management companies and owners. The majority of this work involves assisting clients with strata collections, drafting and aiding in the enforcement of strata bylaws, representing clients in court and providing advice concerning the Civil Resolution Tribunal process. Shawn’s far-reaching background in each of these areas makes him one of the Province’s foremost strata practitioners. He regularly authors articles on various strata issues for associations such as the Vancouver Island Strata Owners Association and the Canadian Condominium Institute. Shawn also gives presentations to strata owners, as well as facilitates information sessions for strata managers on timely topics.

Outside of the office, Shawn and his wife are kept busy with four children. With what little spare time he has, Shawn enjoys gardening and adventuring with his family; whether this takes them to Disneyland or simply out to their backyard.

Shawn has a BA in International Relations from UBC, Vancouver, BC, and an LLB from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB.
